Volunteer Opportunities

Women's Crisis Support Team & Talsunne Safe House

 

Volunteering gives you an opportunity to change lives, including your own.  Volunteers are a big part of our services that we provide at WCST.  Any volunteer that would like to work directly with clients or client records are required to attend a thirty-hour training that WCST provides as well as a criminal background check.  For our current Volunteer application click here.

WCST recruits volunteers almost exclusively for help in answering our phone lines, however other volunteer opportunities may also become available.  Here are other volunteer opportunities:

INTERVENTION SERVICES: Answer 24 hr. Crisis Line, Court Advocacy, On Scene Responder, Rape Advocate

PREVENTION SERVICES:High School small groups, Jr. High small groups, RCC Outreach, Community Events, Community Tabling, Awareness Month Activities

TALSUNNE SHELTER SUPPORT:Shelter Overnight, Shelter Support, Children's Program, Shelter Child Care, Transportation Pool, Pet Shelter, yard Work, Donations Coordination Assistance, shelter maintenance, Auto maintenance, Bi-Lingual interpreter

OFFICE SUPPORT: Filing/Shredding, Data Entry Computer design & input, Newsletter, interpreter
