That person, a woman who gets help from the Grants Pass non-profit organization Women's Crisis Support Team. They help women and men who have been victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence.
The owner at Star Collision Centers, Mark Lamensdorf said, "I want to give back to the community. The community does a lot for Star and I want to give back and we have the means to do it."
Amber, the woman chosen still has to go through an application process to be accepted. But if she is accepted she could be getting a Mazda 3 or Scion XD.
An intervention specialist said it's an honor to have been selected, "We don't always see people who are that generous who are willing to give as much as this project is," said Valerie Mesp.
The give-away is part of a national program called "Recycled Rides" started by the National Auto Body Council.
