We believe in:

  • Declaring freedom from fear of abuse, which is a basic human right.
  • Empowering survivors of violence to make their own choices by exercising their right to self-determination.
  • Respecting women, men, and children equally.
  • Breaking the cycle of violence through education.
  • Offering a program that balances prevention, intervention and support.
  • Endorsing public policy that makes violence unacceptable.
  • Conducting our own affairs in an ethical and caring way.
  • Establishing WCST's leadership role in the community in promoting a safe environment, and in making domestic violence and sexual assault unacceptable.

The Women's Crisis Support Team is a non-profit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence and sexual assault through intervention, prevention, and safe shelter.

WCST's primary goals are to provide assistance to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, and to break the cycle of violence through education. Our service area includes Josephine, west Jackson, south Douglas, and northern Curry counties.

Our services are designed to help survivors of abuse regain control of their lives, start the healing process, develop positive self-esteem, and break the cycle of violence so that future abuse can be prevented. All of our services are free and confidential. They include:

  • 24-hour crisis line
  • Support groups
  • Court advocacy
  • Information and referrals
  • Inter-agency advocacy
  • Children's advocacy
  • Emergency shelter
  • Individual peer support
  • Emergency transportation
  • Community education
  • Public awareness campaigns
